What is a recommended exposure schedule?

A recommended exposure schedule will be suggested to you by your SOL360 tanning professional at your initial visit. This will allow a tan to develop gradually without the adverse effects associated with over exposure. Attempts to accelerate the tanning process or try longer than recommended sessions may result in negative results and limit the tanning process. It is extremely important for you satisfaction that you inform the SOL360 staff members of the results etc that you are hoping to achieve so they can advise of an appropriate schedule for your skin type.

Why do I not tan equally all over?

Sensitive areas need to be covered up for the perhaps the first two thirds of your tanning session, gradually increasing as general exposure time increases. Some body areas tan differently and lack protective melanin the underarms, palms,
soles of the feet, genitalia are sensitive areas for this reason and may not tan as well as the rest of the body.

Why is moisturizing important?

Moisturized skin accepts UV light easier and more evenly. Dry skin flakes taking your tan with it! More importantly
dry skin reflects UV and minimizes tanning potential. Lotion use while tanning and also on a daily basis while tanning is highly recommended and WILL reduce the amount of sessions needed to reach your goal, it is a cost effective
way to increase your experience. Your skin is your largest organ and shields the body from
the environment, it is important for general health to keep your skin cells moisturized.
